The Goodbye…

Hoje é dia 29, o meu último dia… Sou o último português em terras suecas, o último a abandonar esta aventura. Hoje despedi-me dos meus compatriotas e vi em todos eles expressões de tristeza e saudade de algo que foi maior que todos nós, algo que nos mudou e algo que nunca esqueceremos.

Acho que posso falar por todos nós quando agradeço aos que participaram e aos que tornaram possível tudo isto. A Sundbyberg, ao “banana building”, às pessoas que viveram nele connosco e aos nossos pais…

Este é o dia em que me vou despedir desta vida de Erasmus, onde fiz amigos que nunca esquecerei, onde aprendi a ser independente, onde cresci como pessoa…

Today is the 29th, my last day… I’m the last portuguese in swedish land, the last to abandon this adventure. Today I said goodbye to my countrymen and saw in each one of them expressions of sadness and longing for something that was greater than all of us, something that changed us and that we’ll never forget.

I think I can speak for all of us when I thank all of you that were a part of it and made it all possible. To Sundbyberg, to the “banana” building, to the people who lived in it with us and to our parents…

This is the day when I say goodbye to the life of Erasmus, where I made friends that I will never forget, where I learned to be independent, where I grew as a person…
